Dr. Smita Ramachandran

Dr Smita Ramachandran is a Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinologist and Diabetologist.
She has done her Speciality training in Endocrinology from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi. She has previously worked in Kalawati Saran Children Hospital and Safdarjung Hospital.
She had an overall experience of over 13yrs and had a lot of experience in treating children with Type 1 Diabetes, Short Stature, Puberty Problems, Thyroid Disorders and Bone Disorders.

Dr Smita also has several International and National publications of her work and is currently involved in Diabetes and Growth research as well.

She has Co authored a book on Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology – for use of both Paediatricians and Endocrinologists, and had written several chapters in Pediatric Endocrinology Books.

She is a member of International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPE) Pediatric Endocrine Society, Indian Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE).

Practical Approach to Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology has been compiled with the aim to make diagnosis and treatment of pediatric endocrinology disorders easier for practicing pediatricians and endocrinologists alike. Its unique format uses a stepwise methodical approach and is illustrated by diagrams, algorithms, and tables, making it an extremely useful book to look up when in doubt. A section on all relevant biochemical values has been compiled and added at the end for the benefit of all readers.
